The Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi Tulapur area is quite well maintained. This place also has Lord Shiva temple also known as Sangmeshwar Temple. It is said the Shivale people organize festivals and pooja in this temple.
The original name of the village was Nagargaon. It was because Shahaji Raje Bhosale and Adil shah's Vajir Murar Jagdev donated 24 Tula. weight measuring an elephant. Hence the name of the village was given as Tulapur.
Significance Sangameshwar Temple
As per the history mentioned at the place, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during his childhood had sworn for Swarajya even before Rayreshwar.
I specially like this place because of the calmness one experiences on visiting the temple. Also the village is quite green with lot of agricultural fields around, which is another reason why I like the place.
